MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

POSITION TITLE :­ MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

REPORTS TO : Assistant Chief Engineer

DIRECT SUPERVISION : Maintenance functions of POMEC Department

BASIC
FUNCTION : Is responsible to the proper administration and supervision
of the hotel's maintenance functions to achieve an optimal physical
condition of the hotel.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1.Assures implementation of International Hotel policies, standard and procedures for:
a.Energy Conservation and control
b.Fire prevention and other life safety programs Physical security programs
c.Effective
preventive and routine maintenance Maintenance planning and schedules
Maintenance systems and procedures Inspections and staff supervision.
d.POMEC labor standards and labor cost controls.
e.Appearance and housekeeping of all engineering workshop and related spaces.

2.Responsible for the proper organization and functioning of the maintenance and repair function of the POMEC Department.

3.Through
proper programming and scheduling determine routine and preventive
maintenance schedules and assure their implementation.

4.Support initiate programs for the improvement of procedures and the reduction of costs.

5.Analyzes and monitors maintenance and repair operations and expenditures for his department.

6.Receives
and analyzes feedback information from the shift engineering to permit
recommendations to the assistant Chief engineer new policies and
procedures for economical operation and maintenance.

7.Participates with the assistant chief engineer in review and makes recommendations on the annual POMEC budget.

8.Reviews
proposed Capital Expenditures Authorization on request (CEA forms)
pertaining to POMEC prior to the assistant Chief Engineer’s submission
to the chief engineer.

9.Attends engineering departmental meetings.

10.Assist the assistant and/or Chief engineering with the selection and training of staff (technical) for this hotel.
