POSITION TITLE : ACCOUNTANT
DEPARTMENT : FINANCE DEPARTMENT
PURPOSE :
Under the general direction of Chief Accountant, and within the limits of established
Hotel
Property and local hotel policies & procedures, assists Chief
Accountant in financial Administration of the Hotel. He/she also
supervises all staff in general Accounting, Front Office Cash and
Restaurant Cash.
RELATIONSHIPS :
1.Reports directly to Chief Accountant.
2.Provides functional to Finance department operation personnel.
3.Interacts with other departmental personnel affecting to Finance operations.
4.Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with all Finance Department section heads.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1.To control and co-ordinate the operations of the Cash, Payable, Payroll and General Accounting.
2.To prepare the financial reports, reconciliation of accounts, etc.
3.To control of all Banks accounts.
4.To pass the closing Journal entries.
5.To calculate the staff Income Tax both local and expatriate employees.
6.To develop and train up the accounting staff.
7.To
communicate with other departments and maintain liaison with EDP. Cost
Control Credit Section and Budget & Income Audit Section.
8.To supervise the preparation of the input source of Computer for General Ledger. Accounts payable, Payroll and Provident Fund.
9.To assist Chief Accountant for smooth functioning of Finance Department.
10.To
recommend personnel action under rules concerning employees and
implement personnel action as per approval of the Chief Accountant
/Management.
11.To perform related duties and special project as assigned.
